On July 2013 expert team of Transparency International – Bulgaria conducted a check of the implementation of the contract for reconstruction of the home for medical and social care in Pernik. The monitoring is carried out on the basis of Integrity Pact between the Contracting Authority – the Ministry of Health, the selected contractor of the public procurement – “Technokom”, and the Independent Observer – Transparency International – Bulgaria. In the presence of the Executive Director of Technocom – Mr. Plamen Atanasov, the expert team of TI-Bulgaria conducted a check on site and examined the construction work carried out by mid-July 2013.

 

The experts were introduced to the completed and forthcoming activities, as well as the main challenges facing the contractor. The representative of Technokom informed about the actions undertaken in order to overcome major obstacles, and also the official communication kept with the Contracting Authority.

 

In order to look further into the details of the current phase of contract implementation, the experts of Transparency International – Bulgaria visited the office of Technokom. As a result of the check, Transparency International – Bulgaria will prepare a report, which will be presented to the Integrity Pact participants, and subsequently will be available on the website of the Integrity Initiative.
